Until recently electric heating systems were limited to storage heaters
or blown air systems, which offered little in the way heating control.
More efficient, panel heater systems are now available (see Electrical
installations section), but many owners and occupiers would still prefer
a radiator based system.
Fortunately, there are now a number of electric boilers on the market that offer many of the benefits of a gas fired central heating system. Combined electric heating and hot water systems are also ‘wet’ systems, i.e. they supply a system of pipes and radiators, and can be just as effective in performance as a good combination boiler.
The parts costs for such systems often work out a little more expensive, however this is often offset by the savings and convenience of not having to run a new gas supply.
We are qualified and experienced with these systems. Give us a call to discuss your options. As ever we will give you the best advice according to your circumstances.
