We aim to be upfront, clear and fair in our pricing. There are no hidden extras and there is no call out charge. Fixed prices are available across the majority of our services so you know what you will most likely pay in advance of our arrival. Parts are charged at our suppliers' retail list price.
For breakdowns and repairs to all boilers, electric showers, central heating systems, electric heating systems and any gas appliance, our labour charges are fixed for the first hour – the majority of repairs are completed in this time.
We aim to make charges simple and clear by providing set costs for our two repair scenarios:
Repaired on the Spot
If it can be Repaired on the Spot within the first hour labour charges will be £69 plus parts plus VAT. The majority of repairs are completed within the first hour. On the odd occasion that the repair goes past the first hour, charges are £15 plus VAT per 1/4 hour thereafter.
Repaired on Return
If we need to make a second visit to complete the repair, for example if we need to order parts, our Repaired on Return rate is just a further £30 plus VAT. So our total labour charges for a short diagnosis-only initial visit plus up to one hour on the return visit to complete the repair is £99 + VAT (plus any parts, but we will be able to quote you before we return). The majority of repairs are completed in this time. On the odd occasion that the return repair goes past the first hour, charges are £15 plus VAT per 1/4 hour thereafter. Again we will be able to quote you in advance if this is the case.
NB: If you decide not to proceed with the repair, £69+ VAT is still payable for the initial diagnosis visit. Where the engineer has not been able to complete the repair but has managed a temporary repair, then our charges revert to the Repair on the Spot scenario (above). Our return visit to complete the repair is then at £60+ VAT for the first hour. The majority of repairs are completed in that time, but we will be able to give you an indication of time needed prior to our return.
Servicing
A boiler or gas appliance service is £60 plus VAT. This fixed price is applicable to the vast majority of boilers and gas appliances, with the exception of back boilers and warm air units where we charge £90 plus VAT. If you would like us to service any other appliances on the same visit, such as a gas fire, then it is a further £30 + VAT per appliance.
NB: The boiler must be fully functioning to carry out a service. If you are having problems with the boiler then we would need to deal with them before carrying out the service. In this scenario our charges revert to that for Breakdowns and Repairs (above). Once function is restored, the service will be completed at £40 + VAT and £60 + VAT for back boilers and warm air units.
Landlords Gas Safety Inpections
Landlords gas safety inspections are a flat rate of £55 plus VAT, regardless of the number of appliances.
NB: The boiler must be fully functioning to carry out a Landlords Gas Safety Inspection. If you are having problems with the boiler then we would need to deal with them before carrying out the inspection. In this scenario our charges revert to that for Breakdowns and Repairs (above). Once function is restored, the Landlords Gas Safety Check will be completed at £40 + VAT.
Landlords Gas Safety Inpection and Boiler Service
We will combine these services for a flat rate of £85 plus VAT, with the exception of back boilers and warm air units where we charge £125 plus VAT. If you would like us to service any other appliances on the same visit, such as a gas fire then it is a further £30 + VAT per appliance.
NB: The boiler must be fully functioning to carry out a Landlords Gas Safety Inspection and Boiler Service. If you are having problems with the boiler then we would need to deal with them first. In this scenario our charges revert to that for Breakdowns and Repairs (above). Once function is restored, the Landlords Gas Safety Inspection and Boiler Service will be completed at £50 + VAT and £80 + VAT for back boilers and warm air units.
Magnetic Filters
A magnetic filter connects on the ‘return’ water pipe to your boiler and removes sludge (rust) so that cleaner water enters the boiler. This protects your boiler from damage and keeps your system operating efficiently, saving you money on fuel bills. Click here for more info.
Powerflushes
See our Powerflushes page for more details on when these are necessary. Prices start at £450 + VAT for a property with up to 7 radiators. Add £25 + VAT for every radiator thereafter. We take off 50% when we carry out a powerflush as part of one of our excellent boiler installations.

For existing homeowners we can tell you why you are having problems with your system. We rarely have to recommend a new boiler, rather we’ll come up with cost effective ways of improving what you have.
Installations
We will provide you with a quote for large heating, solar, plumbing and electrical works. You will not be charged for quotes as we understand the need to compare prices with other companies.
You should always get quotes from at least three reputable companies. We will provide you with a full breakdown of works, so you can ask other companies the right questions on what they have included - allowing you to compare like for like.
NB: We are often called to provide a quote on a boiler where the customer has been told that it cannot be repaired. We can repair most boilers and so a quote often turns into a repair – which our customers are generally very pleased about. If this happens our charges revert to that for a breakdown or repair (above). If you the customer still feels they would like to a have a new boiler installed despite their existing appliance now being operational we will subtract the repair bill from the price of the new boiler.
